Dragon scales textured hair barrette handmade from polymer clay. 3.25 inches long textured clay hair clip, hand painted with gold, bronze & silver to resemble a dragon's scaly skin.

On the reverse, the barrette clip, is silver and gold colored. Squeeze the prongs to open the hair barrette and snap to close.

Great for everyday, or to add that touch of fantasy dragon style to your renaissance festival hair or cosplay look.

Remakes will always vary slightly in color or design than pictured due to the one-of-a-kind nature of sculpting & creating each hair clip. How can I style a dragon scale hair clip for a Renaissance faire?

Wear the gold and bronze barrette with a linen blouse, a corset-style bodice, or earthy layers for a dragon-inspired fantasy outfit. Position it across a half-up hairstyle or above a secured braid to show the scale texture. The blue, purple, and green version also suits a mermaidcore look.

Is this dragon scale barrette made from metal?

Will this dragon scale hair clip stay in fine hair?

I recommend this design for medium to thick hair. The smooth metal clasp has no added grips, so it may slide in fine or thin hair. Gathering a section with a small clear elastic before adding the barrette can provide extra support.

Will the metallic finish rub off?

I seal the painted finish with polyurethane to help protect it during regular wear. Wipe your dragon scale barrette gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid soaking, alcohol, and harsh cleaners.

Can this dragon scale barrette hold a full ponytail?
